Prasant Misra from the Network Research Group @CSE received the “Best Student Paper” prize for his work titled: "Improving Distance Ranging in Wireless Sensor Networks", at the 6th Annual CSIRO ICT Centre Science and Engineering Conference (ICTCC 2009), November 5-6, 2009, Australian Technology Park, Eveleigh NSW Australia. Prasant Misra is a second year PhD candidate in the network group. He is working on localisation techniques for embedded wireless sensor devices with applications in mining, rescue, robotics and many other areas. He is supervised by Prof. Sanjay Jha and Diet Ostry (CSIRO).
